Personalization: Please include your personalization details, such as a name, engraving text, or design instructions, in the order notes. A barrel with his name on it, stenciled like the ones in a Kentucky rickhouse.

A round bourbon barrel head engraved on the front, staves, hoop and head boards
His name stenciled across it under PRIVATE BARREL
His birth year becomes the barrel number, and we work out his age for the AGED line
An optional message engraved on the back
26 oz glass whiskey decanter with a glass stopper

Every bourbon lover knows the moment a distillery lets you pick your own barrel. It gets your name stenciled on the head and it becomes yours alone. This decanter puts that barrel head on the glass: PRIVATE BARREL, his name in bold stencil letters, then BARREL NO. and AGED lines, both worked out from the one year you type.
Fill it with his favorite pour and hand it to him on his birthday. Then turn it around and write the back yourself: a toast from his wife, a note from the kids, or the line he says every time he pours one.
Stuck on what to say on the back? A few lines to start from:

Saved the best barrel for you. Happy birthday, Dad.
For the man who taught me what a good pour is. Love, Ben
Some things get better with time. You're the proof. Love, Sarah
Here's to many more years of good pours.

How to Personalize

Name on the Barrel: up to 12 characters, stenciled in capitals across the barrel head. His last name, his first name or the family name.

Year: four digits, like 1978. It becomes BARREL NO. 1978, and we engrave the age he turns this year on the AGED line (in 2026 that reads AGED 48 YEARS). His birth year works best, and a wedding year or the year your family started works too.

Back Message: optional, up to 120 characters, engraved on the back exactly as you type it. Leave it blank and the back stays clear.

The barrel head and the words PRIVATE BARREL are part of the design on every decanter. Our team laser engraves every decanter in Monroe, Connecticut.
