Other Products ｜DJ Harrison: Stashboxxx Vinyl LP

Devonne Harris aka DJ Harrison's first collection of tapes from 2014. The Multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer weaves together gritty soundscapes that attest to his firm grasp of generations of black music, with sprawling jazz & funk bits rendered and bent through Harris's beautiful musical mind. The beats range in style from the atmospheric to bare-bones boombap, and while Harris pays tribute to his heroes (peep the titles of the tracks), he creates in his distinct style, which is undoubtedly rooted in the past but has progressed eons past it. Check out "Erykah's Gun," "Dilla's Eclair," "Pete Rockin'," "Portrait Of Black Jesus," "JherlKurlz," but the best way to enjoy Stashboxxx is the listen to the record from the beginning to end.
