Description
A Cold Air Intake System positions the filter outside the engine compartment to ensure the coolest possible air inlet temperatures. Cooler air contains more oxygen, leading to a more powerful explosion in the combustion chamber, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. However, this is just one aspect of the power equation. Adjusting the length and diameter of the inlet pipe to harmonize with the engine's resonance helps push more air into the cylinders (consider your engine as a large air pump). This tuning enables the system to provide maximum power gains across the entire RPM range.

FAQS
1. What a cold air intake does?
With a cold air intake, you can expect the following from your vehicle:

Improved horsepower

Improved acceleration

Improved Sound

Improved mileage

2. Does a cold air intake increase mpg?

A suitable amount of air is necessary for good and better combustion. More air can be used in a vehicle to increase horsepower. Therefore, cool air intake undoubtedly increases your car's MPG and aids in petrol savings. A cold air intake is consequently installed in your car to improve airflow and cool the combustion engine.

3. How much hp does a cold air intake add?
A cold air intake increases the amount of air that an engine can take in and resultantly the performance of engine upgrades. There is no direct number quantifying how much horsepower is added to the engine after this upgrade. But, this upgrade can provide a gain of around 5-20 hp. However, for turbocharged and supercharged engines the power gain is outstanding.
