Taylor Builder's Edition 914ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric Guitar w/Case

Grand Auditorium rosewood tone with Lutz spruce clarity, refined comfort and Claria electronics

Overview
The Taylor Builder's Edition 914ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric Guitar brings together premium tonewoods, refined 900 Series appointments and Taylor’s most player-focused design features. Its Grand Auditorium body pairs a solid Lutz spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides, producing clear trebles, rich low-end depth, a slightly scooped midrange and lush overtones that bloom as notes sustain. Scalloped V-Class bracing adds more warmth, volume and open-string expressiveness, while the Action Control Neck and Builder’s Edition comfort features make this guitar exceptionally responsive, elegant and stage-ready.

Features
The tonewood pairing is a major strength of this model. Lutz spruce blends power, richness and volume with a clear, dynamic response, while Indian rosewood adds the deep lows, sparkling highs and harmonic complexity that have made it one of the most respected acoustic back-and-side woods. In Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape, that combination becomes highly versatile, making the guitar equally capable for fingerstyle, strumming, recording and live performance.

The Next Generation design refines the voice and feel with Scalloped V-Class bracing and Taylor’s Action Control Neck. The bracing enhances projection, sustain and warmth while preserving the pitch accuracy associated with V-Class architecture. The long-tenon Action Control Neck adds resonance and allows precise string-height adjustment, giving players an easier way to dial in the feel they prefer.

As a Builder’s Edition 900 Series model, the 914ce is built with elevated comfort and visual detail. A beveled armrest, beveled cutaway and smooth player-focused contours make the guitar feel more natural against the body and easier to navigate up the neck. Premium appointments include Belle Fleur inlays in paua and mother-of-pearl, a paua rosette, black/paua/black edge trim, koa fretboard and peghead purfling, Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners and a full-body gloss finish. The Claria Acoustic Pickup System provides Volume, Mid-Contour and Tone controls for flexible amplified sound, and a deluxe hardshell case is included.
