Woody Creek Distillers Mary's Select Gin is a floral, fruity gin from the Basalt, Colorado distillery in the Roaring Fork Valley, named for co-founder and CEO Mary Scanlan and her love of purple. It is built on Woody Creek's pure potato spirit with seventeen botanicals, including butterfly pea flower for a natural deep-indigo color that transforms to pink with citrus, complemented by subtle rhubarb, elderflower and yuzu. It is bottled at 42% ABV (84 proof) with no artificial coloring, so the hue lightens naturally over time. The result is soft and aromatic: elderflower and a delicate floral note up front, tart rhubarb and bright yuzu citrus in the middle, and a clean juniper finish. It is a gin made for show-stopping cocktails, a color-changing G&T, a French 75 or a spritz, and a beautiful bottle for a gift.
