All-koa Grand Auditorium tone with refined comfort and Claria electronics
Overview
The Taylor Builder's Edition K24ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric Guitar is a premium all-koa Grand Auditorium designed for players who want rich acoustic character, stage-ready electronics and an exceptionally comfortable playing experience. Solid figured Hawaiian koa is used for the top, back and sides, producing a vibrant, articulate voice with bold midrange focus, refined trebles and tonal complexity that continues to open up with playing time. Scalloped V-Class bracing adds warmth, projection and sustain, while Taylor’s Builder’s Edition comfort features make this guitar feel smooth, responsive and performance-ready from the first note.
Features
The all-Hawaiian koa construction gives this Builder’s Edition model both visual elegance and a distinctive voice. Koa offers a clear, focused response with a sweet top end and strong midrange presence, and it is well known for developing more depth and warmth as the guitar is played over time. Paired with Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape, this guitar has the balance and versatility to handle fingerstyle, strumming, recording and live performance with confidence.
The Next Generation design uses Scalloped V-Class bracing with a relief rout to preserve the sustain and pitch accuracy of Taylor’s V-Class architecture while adding warmer lows and louder projection. Taylor’s Action Control Neck further refines the experience by combining a long-tenon neck joint for added resonance with a patented adjustment system that allows precise string-height microadjustment.
As a Builder’s Edition instrument, the K24ce is built around player comfort as much as tone. The armrest, beveled cutaway, chamfered body edges and chamfered fretboard edges create a smoother, more ergonomic feel, especially for long playing sessions and upper-fret access. The onboard Claria Acoustic Pickup System includes Volume, Mid-Contour and Tone controls, giving players more control over their amplified sound in a wide range of live settings. A deluxe hardshell case is included for proper protection.
