Reptiles are ectothermic ("cold-blooded"), which means that they don't produce their own body heat. Instead, they depend on external heat sources like the Sun for the heat energy that their bodies need to function properly.
The Zoo Med ReptiTemp Digital Infrared Thermometer is a small, pocket-sized infrared thermometer ("temp gun") that instantly measures the temperature of any given surface with the click of a button. This tool allows keepers to monitor thermal gradients, basking sites, shelters, incubation and hibernation temperatures, and more, making it a must-have for all reptile and amphibian keepers!
The Zoo Med ReptiTemp Digital Infrared Thermometer can be set to read temperatures in both Fahrenheit (-28° to 230°F) or Celsius (-33° to 110°C). There is also a Min/Max function that allows you to monitor the fluctuations in your terrarium over time.
One CR2032 Lithium cell battery included.
