You'll be surprised how many caravans and boats in Australia have this American-style water inlet installed. If your tank inlet looks like the one in the image, it has a 3/4 GHT (Garden Hose Thread) or NPT (US thread) — which isn't the same as the BSP fittings found in Australian hardware stores. A standard 3/4 BSP fitting will look right and seem to fit for a couple of turns, but will leak when pressurised. This US thread to BSP adaptor has the correct thread for your RV or caravan water inlet, plus an ultra-handy swivel elbow. The brass snap fittings of your Flat Out hoses work best on brass, and the downward-pointing elbow gives you the ideal connection angle.Benefits
Brass construction — durable and handles high pressure
Downward-pointing — less likely to be bumped off
Won't leak — correct 3/4 GHT/NPT thread size
Sleek, tidy and visually appealing
Reduces load on fittings with the downward connector angle
While not all vans need this GHT to BSP adaptor, we make it because we've discovered the need among our customers. To our knowledge, Flat Out is the only brand making an elbow unit for this purpose entirely in brass.
